The Bombay Cartel, Breach Candy

The Bombay Cartel, Breach Candy

A new restaurant has popped up – The Bombay Cartel, in Hub town sky bay, breach candy, and I recently tried out the food and cocktails here. Here’s a detail description of our lovely Saturday afternoon, however, let me tell you that this has been one of the few places that I’ve visited in the recent past where everything we ordered on the menu has been good!

Overall:

Food: 4/5

Service: 4/5

Ambience: 4/5

Value for Money: 4/5

A pure vegetarian place, The Bombay Cartel has a variety of options catering to taste palates, after much deliberation and tough choices to choose from we settled for the following:

The Mumbai meri jaan platter is perfect of you are visiting here with more than 3 people to ensure you finish it all off and have place to order for some more. It consists of Bhel puri, sev puri, pav bhaji, vada pav and pani puri shots. The vada pav, bhel and pav bhaji were exceptional in taste.Schezwan topped cheese corn balls – I’ve had this for the first time and boy was I happy that we ordered for this. Spicy, saucy, cheesy – you get the drift. Order this if you are a fan of cheese corn balls and like spicy foods; you will love it.

Up next was the exotica pizza with a crispy base and exotic veggies was the perfect main course and just what I need on a Saturday afternoon after a long day at work. I won’t be able to do justice with words as to how good this was – so make sure to grab a pie the next time you are here for sure. They have unusual yet interesting combos of pizzas to choose from.

To try out the Asian food on the menu we called for some Khow suey which was wiped out clean in a matter of minutes. Served with veggies and toppings on the side, the Khao Suey can easily be gobbled by one person (if you are big foodie with a good appetite – like me 😉)

I tried the sizzling brownie for dessert – which was average just like I’ve had at many places before, but it was a good end to a great meal here at TBC.

For beverages I tried Lemon grass martini (highly recommended), spicy guava mocktail (high in sugar, however, makes for a good beverage if you are fan of this flavour + spicy masala on the side).

Lastly, TBC has a unique concept of park your own bottle – wherein you can purchase a bottle from the bar here and park it until you want to come back and consume it at your convenience! How cool is that?!

I’m heading back here for the good food, ambience and dancing my heart out on a weekend evening!
