Madras Diaries, Linking Road

Madras Diaries, Linking Road

With the regular famous spots for South Indian food overdone – I was on the lookout for something new and when I heard of a new place in Bandra has opened, the south Indian in me had to visit Madras Diaries, and boy was it a good idea!

Overall:

Food: 4/5

Service: 4/5

Ambience: 3.5/5

Value for Money: 3.5/5

The basil and spiced lemon cooler is the perfect way to beat the heat this summer. Also tried the tender coconut water which was good, too.

The chilli porota with salsa and sour cream was good, however, too much oil in the jalapeño Idli, which can be avoided and dive straight into main course as its very filling anyways.

The lunch thali is sumptuous and worth every penny for 475INR. Portion size here is good enough for two so order accordingly. The thali has everything to satiate your South Indian cravings. Don’t miss out on the sambar and bisibelebath!

Ended the meal with a filter coffee which was the cherry on the cake after a lovely meal and time.

The place is jam packed for a weekday afternoon so plan your visit accordingly. The staff is courteous and food quantity is good – worth the quality and quantity for the price. Would certainly recommend this place with lovely food worth the bill you pay.
