Arya Bhavan, Ram Ashray, Sadanand – a list of some of the best places serving authentic south Indian food in Mumbai. Similarly, last week I discovered that there’s a new South Indian Kitchen that’s opened in South Bombay – Gughan. Opened in place of 5 Spice in Marine lines near Hindi Vidya Bhavan, this place is a must visit with for those days when you want to eat your heart out for a paisa vasool time.
One of the unique offerings they have is an amazing deal of unlimited breakfast of 175₹++ per person from 7am to 11am.It’s an elaborate menu part of this deal where you get idli, Pongal, Upma, kesari, medu vada, sada dosa, rava dosa, masala dosa, Mysore sada ,chutney and sambhar followed by filter coffee and it’s all unlimited! Talk about value for money! We went here for a get together with family friends and everybody left with a super full and happy tummy.Next time you are looking to grab some good South Indian grub, head to Gughan in Marine Lines! They also have good options a la carte and thalis to choose from. They do need to up their game in terms of service and training of staff, however, the quality and quantity of food makes up for the experience we had. Hopefully, their service and staff will be better trained by the time you guys visit.
