I am someone who has constant cravings for something sweet or chocolaty – all the time! I realized my obsession with chocolate has become a little too extreme when I found myself baking cookies at 11:30 am on a Wednesday night last week!
The cookies turned out to be just perfect, chewy and gooey and I thought of sharing the recipe with all you foodies of India!
To make delicious chocolate chip cookies here’s what you’ll need:
2 cups all-purpose flour (maida)
¼ cup powdered sugar
½ tsp baking soda
1 stick salted butter about 100 gms (room temperature)
¼ cup brown sugar
½ cup of chocolate chips
½ tsp vanilla extract
You may also add walnuts, chocolate chunks, candy of your choice!
Add the butter, brown sugar, white sugar and whisk until all is mixed and becomes a little liquid type texture
Next add the flour, baking soda, vanilla extract and mix it in well
The mix should become a dough-like texture
Once the dough is ready, its time to add the chocolate chips or any other fillings of your choice
Take an ice cream scoop and place them on a baking tray lined with butter paper and its ready to bake!
On the stove in a make-do oven:
Preheat the make do oven and place it in low flame for 15-20 mins or until the edges turn slightly golden brown.
In an oven:
Preheat the oven and bake it at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes
Make sure to let the cookies cool before you can enjoy them as is or with some ice cream of your choice!
